Last week I was playing along with Scrapbook and Cards Today magazine’s fall issue challenge. I had a good time creating layouts for most of the prompts. Though the prizes are closed, you can still go check out the inspiration for day 1, day 2, day 3, and day 4.
Anyone participating could email their projects to the magazine for a chance to win a bit of a prize. While I didn’t win, I did get a layout spotlighted. It was weird to scroll through the blog and suddenly see my work there. And while I like the layout it really isn’t my usual style. It is very bold and a project I just wondered if it was “too much.” So here is my layout. (And you can see all the other entries from the challenge on their blog post.)

So, the lesson is 1) beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and 2) go ahead and give a magazine submission a try and see what happens. The worse thing that happens is, well, nothing.
And here are the other layouts I made for the challenges.
